SYSTEMS/NETWORK ENGINEER – FULL TIME POSITION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support our small to mid- market customers LAN/WAN environments. Responsibilities:
This resource is responsible for addressing customer support calls for IT related problems, providing call resolution, and managing client network infrastructures. You will be responsible for day to day servicing of desktop level problems, administration of disaster recovery, network design and project implementations as well as server and network related support. Responsibilities associated with this position include application support, integration, network administration, desktop troubleshooting, hardware/software procurement and installation, and asset/license management.
Job Duties Include:
- Automating processes to reduce manual involvement
- Configuring and utilizing monitoring tools to ensure high uptime
- Proactively manage and setup client network infrastructures
- Provide general LAN/ WAN administration tasks
- Perform hardware and software evaluations and make recommendations
- Perform application compatibility / interoperability testing / application packaging
- Performance Tuning and Monitoring for the desktop and server environment
- Develop and maintain documentation required to support the network infrastructure
- Provide ad-hoc IT maintenance support, troubleshoot, monitor and resolve desktop PC and server issues remotely
- Adjust and maintain backup and Disaster recovery
- Identify system outages and ensure appropriate notifications are sent to customers
- Support on call assignment as scheduled
Candidate must be able to travel within the San Diego area only, with potential for travel in southern California. Flexibility is a must.
Prerequisite Skills:
- Candidate must have extensive experience with Labtech RMM
- Candidate MUST be a highly organized and a motivated team player.
- Candidate should have with 5-10 years’ experience in supporting Microsoft environment
- Candidate must be well versed in Windows Server (through 2012)
- Candidate must be well versed in Windows Workstation (through 8)
- Candidate must be well versed in Exchange (through 2013)
- Candidate must be well versed in Active Directory
- Candidate should be well versed in supporting Office 365
- Hands on experience of network infrastructure environment (ie LAN/ WAN)
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Servers

Some additional highly recommended skills that could help you in this position:
- PowerShell and/or VBS
- Degree in computer science, management information systems or similar
- Experienced in deploying OS installation via scripted, unattended methods, Sysprep, Acronis, Storagecraft and other imaging methods.
